Tony Ryan
San Francisco based singer-songwriter Tony Ryan began writing songs as a teenager growing up in Dublin. He was influenced by everything from the ballads of the Dubliners and Christy Moore to Elvis Costello and the emerging Dublin rock scene centered around the Baggot Inn and McGonigles.
Eventually, after immigrating to New York he made his first recordings and live appearances at bars and clubs in Queens and Manhattan.
After three years on the east coast, Tony moved to San Francisco where he continued to build a live repertoire consisting of his own material, pub ballads, and covers of songs from a who's who list of contemporary songwriters.
Tony's CD 'Unholy Blue' features eight new original songs and is available BY CLICKING ON THIS LINK and at all his live shows. You can listen to 90 second samples of all the songs on the MUSIC page of this site.
