Growing up in Dublin, San Francisco based singer-songwriter Tony Ryan began writing songs under the influence of Christy Moore and Elvis Costello.
In New York in the 1980's, where he was working while trying to see a bit of the world, he made some recordings and for a brief period contemplated the life of an international rock star. The world was not ready, however, for his raw confessionals such as 'Salt Into My Wounds'. Instead of the glamorous world of rock, Tony cooled his ego in the worlds of sheet rock, furniture removal and bartending.
Now living in San Francisco, he continues to perform and write and is currently recording songs that can be heard on the muisc page of this website.
